Overleaf
Overleaf is an online LaTeX and Rich Text collaborative writing and publishing tool. It is designed to make the process of writing, editing, and producing scientific documents much quicker and easier. The service is supported by Overleaf's cloud-based system, so there is nothing to install. Overleaf Professional accounts, which offer various premium features, are available to all Hamilton College faculty, students, and staff free of charge.
Visit https://www.overleaf.com/edu/hamilton to sign up for an account and to learn more about Overleaf. To enjoy the features of the Professional account, use a @hamilton.edu email when you sign up. Contact support@overleaf.com if you have any technical questions about using Overleaf.
REQUEST A PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNT
- Visit https://www.overleaf.com/edu/hamilton, and sign up using your @hamilton.edu email.
- Check your email and click the link to validate your Hamilton affiliation.
- Log in to https://www.overleaf.com/, go to Account -> Account Settings, and make sure that you see a "Professional" badge under your Hamilton email address.
If you used your @hamilton.edu email address when you signed up for Overleaf, your account is upgraded to Overleaf Professional automatically.
If you did not use your @hamilton.edu email address when you signed up for Overleaf, add your Hamilton email address by following the steps below.
- Log in to https://www.overleaf.com/, and go to Account -> Account Settings.
- Click "Add another email," right below your primary email address.
- Type in your @hamilton.edu email, and click "Add new email."
- Check your email and click the link to validate your Hamilton affiliation.
- Log in to https://www.overleaf.com/, go to Account -> Account Settings, and make sure that you see a "Professional" badge right below your email address.
After verifying your Hamilton email address, you can cancel your personal subscriptions.
