Wellness is an evolving process of developing self-awareness and making choices aimed at achieving a healthy and fulfilling life. At Hamilton, everyone can take advantage of many resources designed to build a strong foundation of wellbeing that will remain with them as they go on to lives of meaning, purpose, and active citizenship.

Health Services

The Health Center advocates, informs, and empowers students in making healthy lifestyle decisions through education and preventative medical care, diagnostic services, and treatment of illness and medical conditions.

Counseling Services

The Counseling Center promotes students’ psychological and emotional health within a comfortable and confidential environment, through a full range of psychological support and consultation services.

Fitness & Wellness

From fitness classes to personal training — not to mention our annual Ham & Legs and Hamtrek events — the Wellness Program offers activities that promote personal health and fitness. The Fitness Center houses a dance studio, space for aerobic and cardio training as well as resistance and weight training, a multipurpose exercise room, and a three-story climbing wall.

Recreation

Experience the camaraderie and competitive spirit of our 15 club sports and 17 intramural sports. And if you like to play in the woods, the Outing Club is the place for you!

Mindfulness

Our mindfulness community strives to encourage slower and more intentional living that can infuse a sense of calm in everyday life, whether through traditional yoga and meditation to such activities as running or journaling.
