The LITS DEI Task Force is excited to co-sponsor a semester-long series of six Rhodes Perry "Belonging at Work" workshops, beginning February 8. These will be offered over the noon hour, as they will be open to all employees, and this time period accommodates faculty and staff. (Speak to your supervisor about adjusting your schedule if appropriate.)

We encourage all interested LITS staff to participate; however, these are entirely voluntary. The DEI task force would like to point out a few factors as you consider whether to participate:

  • These require a higher level of commitment than the one-hour session on MLK day.
  • This is intended as a series, not six non-connected sessions. When considering your involvement, we ask that you commit to all six sessions, notwithstanding unavoidable conflicts.
  • Each workshop includes empathy building exercises, relevant research, and every day actions.
  • Included are mini-lectures, one-on-one and small group activities, and larger group discussions.

You can find the dates and descriptions of all the sessions, as well as the recording and resources of the previous session on the LITS DEI Rhodes Perry Workshops webpage.
