The presidential search continues to progress. The members of the search committee have been working diligently and collaboratively, and we deeply appreciate their continued dedication.

We write to share an update on the progress of the search for Hamilton’s next president. We are pleased to report the search is progressing well and on schedule.

We are writing to outline the next steps in the search to find Hamilton’s next president.

Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,

Several weeks ago, David Wippman called me to say he planned to retire at the conclusion of the next academic year. As many of you know, he is a lawyer by training, so he was well prepared to set aside my best arguments for why he should reconsider. I accepted his decision reluctantly and expressed appreciation for his outstanding leadership of the College. He has been a tremendous president at an especially difficult time in higher education, as evidenced by the fact that Hamilton has continued to improve and become even better known and more respected during his tenure.
