Susan Greenspan ’99 recently wrote a blog post for the site Windsor Running on being a runner during and after pregnancy. This site is co-founded by Jesse Gaylord ’06 and Cameron Gaylord ’09 is created for runners. When joining the team at Windsor Running, runners work with running and strength coaches, who help build individualized training plans to help them reach their goals.

CEO, director and president of Seneca Foods Corporation, Kraig H. Kayser ’82, is ranked in the top quartile of NASDAQ performers by BSS News Bites. This NASDAQ performance ranking was for the year that had ended on May 25, 2016, and in that year, the shares were up 13.3 percent. He has been a part of the Seneca Foods Corporation for over 25 years, serving as director since 1985 and president and chief executive officer since 1993.

BSS News Bites ranks, Arrow Financial Corporation’s Financial Director, John J. Carusone ’63, in the top quartile for his performance in the past year. In the year for this NASDAQ performance ranking, which ended on May 20, 2016, the Arrow Financial Corporation shares were up 9.1 percent. Carusone has been the director of Arrow Financial Corporation since 1996.

Phoebe Scott ’06 founded Laudville, a site that was launched in 2011, that had virtually connected people who shared a favorite entertainment. She is the co-founder of Parlor, which according to its site is “Parlor is the first app to allow freelance stylists, barbers and makeup artists to set their own prices, manage their schedules and build their clientele by bringing their services directly to your home or any location you choose.” She is also currently working on two new projects, LuxeLi.st and MediaMatch.  

Culinary Nutritionist, author, consultant, speaker and food firebrand, Stefanie Sacks ’91, wrote a book called What the Fork Are You Eating? This book is an action plan to help people lead a healthier lifestyle from shopping to cooking at home.

Gretchen Gardner ’09 currently lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she runs her own communications strategy firm, GMG Strategic Communications. According to Portada, Gardner “works with Argentine and international ventures on shaping their content, branding and marketing strategies to position them for success in global markets.”

BSS News Bites ranked DCT Industrial Trust Inc. President and CEO Philip L. Hawkins ’78, in the top 10 percent for his performance this past year. This New York Stock Exchange performance ranking was for the year that ended on May 2, 2016. During that time period, DCT Industrial Trust Inc. shares were up 27 percent. Hawkins ’78 joined the company in 2006 where he led its initial public offering on the NYSE and the subsequent growth of its operating business and development platform.
