Rachel Martinie

Rachel (she/her) undertakes various responsibilities in her roles as Interim Assistant Director of The Language Center and The Critical Languages Program, and ALEX Program Technologist. Rachel hires and oversees all Language Center student workers, manages payroll, collaborates with language faculty on curriculum development, creates second language acquisition workshops for language faculty, and conducts ALEX program data analysis. Rachel's background was secondary Spanish education, and earned her Master’s degree in TESOL. When not at the Language Center, Rachel spends her time gardening, hiking with her dog, and cooking.

Renata Altuzar Barcenas ’26

Renata is a junior from Mexico City. She is a Biology major and Literature minor, as well as part of the Club Sailing team on campus.

Miranda Gregory ’25

Miranda is a Biology and Digital Arts Major and excited to be back working at the Language Center!

Esther Koo ’25

Esther is a senior from the greater Boston area, and also tutors Korean at the Language Center. She is an active member of the Hamilton College Orchestra. Outside of class, you’ll often find her hanging out in the library, indulging in her love for K-dramas, or getting lost in the pages of a good book. Esther is excited to continue working as an LCSA this year and looks forward to helping students out at the Language Center.

Eliana Mannes ’26

Eliana is a junior Chemistry and Women’s and Gender studies major from Rockville, MD. She’s involved with the satirical newspaper and women’s rugby club and is very much a fan of CJ first floor.

Devin Outhavong ’25

Devin is a Chinese and Japanese Language and Literature major. His focus for both his Chinese and Japanese thesis is English education in Asia: understanding the students’ strengths, weaknesses, and motivations regarding their attitudes and abilities with the English curriculum. His plan after graduation is to own a corgi.

Eve Rudin ’25

Eve is a senior at Hamilton double majoring in Environmental Studies and Hispanic Studies. She is from New York City, but loves spending time outside in nature. This past year, Eve was studying abroad in Madrid and then Copenhagen, and got to see many new parts of the world! She is excited to spend her final year at Hamilton having new experiences and meeting new people on campus.

Anna Yankee ’25

After a year studying in Italy, Anna is excited to be returning for her final year as a Language Center Student Assistant. At Hamilton, Anna also runs Harvest, leads the Sustainability Coordinators, tutors French and Italian at the Language Center, and tutors at the Writing Center. In whatever free time is left, she loves cooking, going on long walks, and giving recommendations of where to eat in her home state of Maine.
