What is biofeedback?
Biofeedback is a computer-assisted process through which people can learn to improve their physical and mental health by changing their physiological responses, such as breathing, heart rate, blood pressure, muscle tension, and skin temperature. The biofeedback instruments capture these responses and display or “feed back” the information to the users via a monitor. With regular practice, people can eventually come to regulate their desired responses without the use of biofeedback.
How can I get biofeedback?
Our Biofeedback Computer is open to all students and can be reserved through our Office Manager. You can use it as often as you like. If you have a specific concern that you'd like to address using biofeedback, you can explore our Individualized Biofeedback services to see if they are appropriate for your situation.
What are the benefits of the massage chair?
Our massage chair is a fantastic place to relax and rejuvenate. With settings from quick massage to longer and more focused programs, our massage chair can provide you the time and space to reflect on your life or just take some time out to relax. When used in conjunction with our other services, the massage chair can be a great way to engage in self-care between therapy sessions, to prepare for a therapy session, or to relax after seeing one of our therapists, psychiatrists, or dietitian.
