Jason Paulino '06 has published his first novel, Chosen.  The novel's website describes Chosen as "a Young Adult's Science Fiction Adventure which follows the lives of three teenagers and their transformation from sixteen year old high school students to intergalactic gladiators."

Ryan Serhant '06 will star in the second season of Million Dollar Listing New York, premiering on Wed, May 8, 10 p.m. (eastern).  The show follows — with a little dramatic license — Serhant as one of three brokers as they compete for clients and properties. Cameras track Serhant everywhere from his office to his apartment, and while the first season showcased Serhant’s competitiveness, it also caricatured his bachelor lifestyle.

Dacor, a leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of luxury kitchen appliances, announced today that its Board of Directors has unanimously elected board member Charles J. Huebner '82 as the organization's next chief executive officer. Huebner will succeed Mike Joseph, the company's current chairman and CEO effective immediately, and will be responsible to the Board for all aspects of Dacor's operations and results.

The 2nd Annual Psi Upsilon undergraduate career day was held on Mar. 9 in the Red Pit. The career day program was installed in order to assist Psi U undergraduates in their transition to the next step, whether through internships, graduate school, or first jobs. The afternoon-long event featured a presentation by Kino Ruth of the Career Center, followed by a panel forum in which alumni told career stories and gave insight into 'the real world.' A break-out session closed the afternoon, which encouraged the undergraduates to network, develop leads, and make new connections.

Autobiography of a Baby Boomer, a memoir written by Dr. Robert Schultz '69, is set to release in May 2013. The subtitle describes the book as, "One man's detour from Cornell Medical School across Europe, Afghanistan, Iran, & India (with a few potholes along the way)."

Alison Brackenbury of the Poetry Review comments on the achievement of Bogin's most recent work, "Nina Bogin writes beautiful, spare, exemplary poems from which everything unnecessary is quietly stripped away. (…) Her poetry, clear and direct, is never narrowly personal. The 'lost hare' is 'bedded down in the thoughts/ and dreams I hoarded there.'  Each listener can add experience to that hoard. Nina Bogin's poetry is its own place, but her particular patch of poetic earth can also become her readers' country."

Shayna Schmidt '12 appeared as Susie Friend in The Mad & Merry Theatre Company's production of Uncommon Women and Others by Wendy Wasserstein, running March 15-24 at The Connelly Theater in New York.

Three Hamilton alumni were selected to the top leadership positions with the New York Law School Law Review for the 2013-14 academic year.  William Bartholomew '08 and Helen Quigley '10 have been named editor-in-chief and managing editor, respectively, and William Lemon '08 was selected to serve as an executive editor.  Bartholomew, Lemon, and Quigley will receive their juris doctorates in 2014.  Both Bartholomew and Quigley graduated from Hamilton with degrees in world politics, while Lemon majored in philosophy and religious studies.

The Bronx Museum celebrates the opening of Solace on the Line, a multi-media exhibit, with text by Susan Hartman K'74, and photos and video by Todd Heisler, based on their New York Times photo essay.  The Exhibition opens on Apr. 19 from 7:00-9:00 pm and will run from Apr. 19-Sept. 8, 2013.

The Career Center will host the next installment of the Investment and Finance Speaker's Series, on careers in financial research on Sunday, April 14, from 7:30-8:30 p.m., in KJ 102.  Students curious about finance, financial markets and research as potential career fields are encouraged to attend.
