This option-based program allows participants to choose any or all activities that they feel work best for their abilities, lifestyle and goals.
Through fitness classes, lectures, health screenings, and special events, the program seeks to engage community members in a variety of wellness activities.
Fitness Classes are open to students and employees and are free of charge. Most classes run until the end of the semester. Feel free to attend when ever it is convenient for you. No Need to register, except for Spinning, Fly Fishing 101 and Self Defense. These classes do not count toward P.E credit.
HamTrek, Hamilton's annual triathlon and walk, offers Hamilton community members the opportunity to compete individually or as relay teams in swimming, on-road biking and cross-country running. As a sprint triathlon event, the distances are 525 yards of swimming (21 lengths in the pool), 9 miles of on-road biking (two times around the Griffin Road loop and 5k of cross-country running (the cross-country course).
Ham & Legs is a 5K run/walk around Hamilton's campus. If running or walking is not your thing, come cheer on your colleagues, or volunteer to be an event coordinator. All walkers, runners, and volunteers will have 5 chances to win $100 and will score points for their team toward the Wellness Cup.
