Most colleges have a core curriculum or distribution requirements; Hamilton does not. -
Student Research
High-level research will allow you to put into practice what you learn in the classroom. -
The Faculty
Hamilton’s teacher-scholars actively engage in the intellectual lives of their students.Areas of Study
Hamilton offers 44 majors (we call them concentrations) and 58 total areas of study.
The Academic Experience
Whatever path you choose, you will become a critical and creative thinker, writer, and speaker — skills that will help you stand out no matter what path you pursue after graduation.
Guided Independence
Although our curriculum has relatively few requirements, professors have high expectations that you will make responsible, informed decisions about your intellectual development. Advisors will work with you to create an individualized plan of study that reflects your interests and abilities and Hamilton’s purposes and goals.
Learn by Doing
Hamilton provides an increasing number of opportunities for students to engage in significant, often publishable, research in all disciplines. You might also explore your career interests through an internship, many of which include College-funded stipends.
