Poetry & Pastries 2024: An Evening of Multilingual Poetry

Embrace the Boundaries, Transcend the Borders

Please join us for our third annual Poetry & Pastries evening of multilingual poetry.  This year, our readings will revolve around Frontiers and Boundaries.

Frontiers exist in countless forms:

Geographical boundaries and political borders that shape and limit our worlds and identities  Personal limitations we strive to overcome The uncharted territories of the human soul and mind (double consciousness & internal dilemmas)  The ever-expanding frontiers of language itself  

Through poetry and prose excerpts, we seek to navigate these frontiers, challenge their definitions, and celebrate the boundless possibilities that lie beyond.

 

Pastries and light refreshments will be provided.Co-Sponsored by Library & Information Technology Services and the Department of German, Russian, Italian, & Arabic.
