Eligibility

In order to participate in Housing Selection, you must be eligible to register for classes for the upcoming fall semester AND your financial accounts must be clear. If either of these conditions is not met, you will not be able to select a room. If you have any questions regarding these requirements, please contact either the Registrar or the Business Office. If you do not clear your Business Office account by the time you return in August, you will not be issued a room key.

Housing Selection Information

  • Any attempt to manipulate the housing selection process and/or change room assignments during or after Housing Selection is a severe policy violation.
  • In an effort to enable groups of students to live together, students can form roommate groups of up to 6 students who will then be eligible to select housing together during the General Selection process.
  • All non-first year areas on campus are gender inclusive except Kirkland 2nd floor (women only), Kirkland 1st floor (men only), and Root 3rd floor (women only).
  • First-year spaces include Keehn, Major, Dunham (basement, 1st and 2nd floors and part of the 3rd floor), North, Wallace Johnson and Wertimer.

  • Students planning to study off campus for the fall semester should not participate in Housing Selection. If you select a room in Housing Selection and then later decide to take a leave of absence, the space you selected will be given to another student through the fall housing wait list process.

  • If you are planning to study off campus for the spring 2026 semester, please tell your prospective roommates, as they will receive a new roommate for the spring semester once you leave. They will not be left in your selected room alone

  • When you select a room in Housing Selection, you have committed to that room for the entire academic year. All housing selections are final.
