Most pro football teams and coaches would consider it a thrill to win the Super Bowl once in their lifetime. But to compete and win it twice in four years is a feat that makes some fans start talking “dynasty.”  With the New York Giants’ 21-17 win over the New England Patriots on Feb. 5 the Giants are among the elite 10 teams that have played in the Super Bowl five or more times. One person helping contribute to the team’s two most recent Super Bowl victories is Sean Ryan ’94, the Giants wide receivers coach.

The Hamilton College football team has announced the selection of its 2012 team captains.

Twenty-seven Hamilton College student-athletes were recognized by the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) on December 2 when the conference announced its 2011 fall all-academic team.

Hamilton College's Mike MacDonald '13 (Glen Ridge, N.J./Seton Hall Preparatory School) and Dan Peters '13 (Niskayuna, N.Y./Niskayuna HS) were selected to the 2011 NESCAC football all-conference team on Nov. 17.

Jordan Eck '13 tied a career high with three touchdown passes to lead Hamilton College to a 28-15 win against Bates College in a NESCAC game at Hamilton's Steuben Field on Nov. 12.

Hamilton College's Ted Finan '12 (New Canaan, Conn./New Canaan HS) and Jacob Sheetz-Willard '12 (Bryn Mawr, Pa./Haverford Township Senior HS) have been selected to the 2011 Capital One Academic all-District Football Team for District 3 by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

McCallum Foote '14 threw four touchdown passes and Remi Ashkar '13 ran for two more as Middlebury College defeated Hamilton College 40-21 in a NESCAC football game at Middlebury's Alumni Stadium on Nov. 5.
