  • Forty-eight members of the class of ’16 as well as six transfer students arrived on the Hill on Jan. 17 to register, move in and matriculate at Hamilton.  The College offers January admission to about 35-45 students per year to fill vacancies created by students on leave and studying abroad.

  • They’ve moved in to their residence halls, completed  Outreach Adventure and Adirondack Adventure pre-orientation and bid farewell to mom and dad.  Now Orientation for members of the Class of ’16 is in full swing, with advising meetings, discussions of this year’s common reading, and social activities filling their days.  Here’s a look at what Hamilton’s newest community members have been up to since they arrived.

  • Hamilton begins its Bicentennial Year this week and the campus is already bustling. First-year students have arrived and Orientation is under way.

  • Orientation begins on Saturday, Aug. 21, for members of the Class of 2014. After move-in, President Joan Hinde Stewart will welcome the class and their families at 1:30 p.m. in Wellin Hall. Opening ceremonies for students begin at 3:30 p.m., and a first-year block party will take place at 6 p.m. on Dunham Quad. Various orientation activities will take place each day until classes begin on Thursday, Aug. 26.
