Hamilton’s Career Center is constantly evolving and creating new programming to help students achieve success following graduation. On Jan. 27 the Career Center launched its newest program, Interview Mojo, which focused on the skill of job interviewing and the ways in which it can be practiced and improved.

The ALS Association has appointed Kim Ann Mink '81as a member of the ALS Association's National Board of Trustees. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, named for the New York Yankee Hall of Famer who died of ALS.

Hamilton President Joan Hinde Stewart announced in an e-mail to the campus community the death of life trustee James T. Rhind ’44, P ’83 ’85. He died on Jan. 16 at the age of 90.

The Hamilton College Town-Gown Fund Committee has made its largest award ever -- $20,000 to the Clinton Fire Department to reconstruct the smoke/fire tower at the town garage in Franklin Springs.

Hamilton’s latest major building project is well under way with the construction of the theatre and studio arts building progressing on schedule. Bill Huggins, associate director of Physical Plant, says the project is on track to be finished in July, 2014. When complete the $46.8 million complex will encompass 81,000 square feet.

Jon Bon Jovi and The Kings of Suburbia played to a sold-out group of Hamilton alumni, parents and friends at New York’s Best Buy Theater on Dec. 5 in a benefit concert for scholarships and the arts at Hamilton. The DownBeat Keys, a Brooklyn-based hip-hop band featuring five Hamilton College alumni, opened for Bon Jovi.

Bruce Miller '85, executive vice president of Bank of New York Mellon, was recently recognized at the company's inaugural Fugio Awards. The Fugio Awards honor individuals for extraordinary demonstration of the company's values and brand behaviors. Miller was one of three individuals selected by the company's Executive Committee.
