Haoying “Ivy” Huang ’22 understands that, although fun, a career in the art industry requires immense dedication to one’s craft. As she heads to Columbia University to pursue a master’s degree in modern and contemporary art: critical and curatorial studies, she reflects on her experiences at Hamilton.

President David Wippman announced the appointment of Ngonidzashe Munemo as vice president for academic affairs and dean of faculty at Hamilton College effective July 1. Reporting directly to the president, Munemo will serve as the chief academic officer and the primary voice of the faculty.

The X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) lab uses x-rays, a portion of the electromagnetic spectrum, to determine the chemical composition of rocks, minerals, and soils. This data can be used to interpret important information about a rock’s history, including how and when it formed.
