Most pro football teams and coaches would consider it a thrill to win the Super Bowl once in their lifetime. But to compete and win it twice in four years is a feat that makes some fans start talking “dynasty.” With the New York Giants’ 21-17 win over the New England Patriots on Feb. 5 the Giants are among the elite 10 teams that have played in the Super Bowl five or more times. One person helping contribute to the team’s two most recent Super Bowl victories is Sean Ryan ’94, the Giants wide receivers coach.

Nothing can stop traffic like a pair of teenage lions. Members of the Hamilton Outdoor Club (HOC) experienced this first-hand during a winter break trip to Kenya. On the first day of their two-week trip, the van that the students were traveling in was held up by a lion-induced traffic jam.

Francis Bradley, assistant professor of history in the department of social sciences and critical studies at the Pratt Institute, will give a lecture on Thursday, Feb. 9, at 4:10 p.m., in the Taylor Science Center room 3024. Bradley will discuss “Translating Islam: The Interplay between Language and Religion in Southeast Asia” as part of Hamilton’s 2012 Humanities Forum on Translation and Cultural Exchange. The lecture is free and open to the public.

The lecture, titled “Mexico’s Failed Drug War: Collateral damage and U.S. drug consumption,” is sponsored by the Religious Studies Department and is free and open to the public.
