Alumni Career Advice

  • George Fett graduated Hamilton College in 1975 with a major in Spanish but went on to enter the medical field. He has since become a licensed healthcare provider, earning his licenses to practice as a medical doctor (M.D.) and doctor of chiropractic (D.C.). Working in the medical field from a non-traditional major, George has some insight for others looking to do the same.

  • Lynne Degitz graduated magna cum laude from Hamilton in 1989 with anthropology and English literature double majors. While on the Hill, Degitz was a member of the Gender and Sexuality Union, International Cultural Association, and Center for Intersectional Feminism. After graduating from Hamilton, Lynne Degitz pursued a master’s degree in anthropology from UC Santa Barbara, graduating with high honors, and a Ph.D. from UNC-Chapel Hill in medical anthropology. She has since held roles in communications at UNC-Chapel Hill and US ITER/Oak Ridge National Laboratory. In her current role, as communications lead at US ITER, she works to advance the progress of fusion energy and nuclear solutions by combining her diverse range of academic interests.

  • Jesse Zanger ’92, a philosophy major, is the managing editor at CBSNewYork.com. A former member of The Spectator staff, Jesse regularly wrote an op-ed column in The Spec and hosted a radio show centered around news.

  • Céline Geiger is currently a writer and supervising producer on the CW drama series Nancy Drew. She is also the writer, creator and executive producer of the Emmy nominated digital series Relationship Status, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in 2016. She has written for the television series The Bold Type, Valor, The Vampire Diaries, The Lying Game, and Being Human and developed projects for digital, TV and film with HBO, The CW, Freeform, VH1, and Disney.

  • Gary Bedrosian graduated from Hamilton in 2011 with a major in biology and a minor in Hispanic studies. At Hamilton he was a part of the men’s soccer team. He went on to dental school and did a residency in general dentistry, and now works in the field of orthodontics.

  • Amanda Berman ’13 is the curatorial assistant for the Department of Sculpture and Decorative Arts at the J. Paul Getty Museum. She graduated from Hamilton with a history major and French minor and received her M.A. in museum studies from the Cooperstown Graduate Program for Museum Studies in 2018. Her museum interests include 18th-century furniture, historic preservation and architectural history, and issues of accessibility and inclusion in curatorial practice. She also has a background in college career development, working in the career development offices at Cornell University and Hartwick College. Her interests include setting student learning outcomes and coaching students on professional correspondence.

  • Ngoc Ngo ’20 studied biochemistry and molecular biology at Hamilton. She currently works as a business analyst at Deloitte Consulting in the Boston office.

  • Susie Szeto Price graduated from Hamilton in 1992 with a degree in women’s studies. From Hamilton she went on to earn her master of arts degree in film, cinema, and video studies from the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts. She now works as a photographer for Getty Images.

  • Justin Brown graduated from Hamilton College in 2014 with a degree in sociology and Hispanic studies. After graduating Justin went on to earn his master’s degree in sports venue and event management from Syracuse University. Now, he is an account executive working for the Boston Celtics.
