Course Description:

Knowledge of best practices and industry standards in the archives field is a valuable life skill with professional and personal applications. Managing the lifecycle of records, determining organization and descriptive schemes, and understanding retrieval systems are tasks undertaken by people in a wide range of capacities. Students will learn these skills through professional instruction and hands-on experiences. They will also be introduced to a viable career field, especially for those interested in working in public history, that combines the arts and sciences.
