Tutor Experience

QSR tutors support their peers academically while deepening their own understanding of their content area specialty. Under the leadership of the QSR Director, members of the student staff work together to create an academically supportive environment for their peers.

Juniors who currently work in the Center may consider applying for a role as head tutor for their senior year on campus. Head tutors work closely with the Center Director to mentor a small group of tutors in a specific content area.

All tutors complete 20 hours of training before starting work and are mentored by the QSR professional staff and head tutors.

The hiring process for QSR tutors takes place during the spring semester for the following academic year.
