The Ain Family Scholarship
The Ain Family Scholarship was established by Charter Trustee Aron J. Ain, Class of 1979, to honor his family’s legacy at Hamilton, which includes daughters Danielle, Class of 2009, Hillary, Class of 2011, and son-in-law Zakaria Cherrabi, Class of 2012.
This Fund was initiated in 2015 by Charter Trustee Aron J. Ain, Class of 1979.
Aron J. Ain earned his A.B. from Hamilton in 1979, with a double major in government and economics. While on the Hill, he was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon, as well as contributed to and served as an editor for The Spectator. Additionally, he was an athletic trainer and member of the yearbook staff and participated in intramural athletics.
Following graduation, Mr. Ain joined his brother, Mark, at the latter’s start-up, Kronos Inc. Over the next 40 years, through various roles across the company, he helped foster Kronos’ growth into a billion-dollar, multinational corporation which merged with Ultimate Software in 2020, becoming UKG. Appointed to the Kronos board of directors and as company CEO in 2005, Mr. Ain continues as the CEO of UKG and has been recognized, on numerous occasions, for his business acumen and outstanding leadership. He was named as a Glassdoor Highest Rated CEO numerous times, received the inaugural Ray Stata Leadership and Innovation Award, given by the Massachusetts Technology Council (2017), and was designated by Ernst and Young as Entrepreneur of the Year (2012).
An active and generous Hamilton alumnus, Mr. Ain has served on the College’s Alumni and Parents Councils, volunteered with the Career Center, Chaired the Hamilton Fund, and supported Hillel, among numerous other initiatives. In 2011, he was appointed as an Alumni Trustee of the College, followed by his election as a Charter Trustee in 2015. He currently serves as Chair of the Trustee Committee on Advancement.
Mr. Ain and his wife, Susan, are parents of two Hamilton alums—daughters Danielle, Class of 2009, and Hillary, Class of 2011. The Ains’ son-in-law, Zakaria Cherrabi, also graduated from Hamilton as a member of the Class of 2012.
Please note: The named scholarships profiled on these pages support the College’s generous need-based financial aid commitment. These donor-funded scholarships help ensure the Hamilton promise of keeping education affordable through meeting a student’s full demonstrated financial need.
