The Rifkin Scholarship
The Rifkin Scholarship, established by Daniel I. Rifkin, M.D., Class of 1988, and his wife Laura, in honor of Daniel’s father, Steven A. Rifkin, and in celebration of Daniel’s 25th reunion, is awarded with preference given to students from Western New York.
Daniel Rifkin graduated cum laude from Hamilton, having majored in religion. He went on to earn his M.D. at Dartmouth Medical School in 1992. With a specialty in neurology and sleep medicine, he has served as president and medical director for Sleep Medicine Centers of Western New York. In 2012, he was recognized as one of the Top Doctors by BuffaloSpree.com. Dr. Rifkin is also Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology at the State University of New York at Buffalo
A native of Williamsville, New York, Dr. and Rifkin and his wife, Laura, chose to support students from Western New York where they currently reside with their four children.
