The Jim ’81 and Walter ’77 Kizielewicz Scholarship
The Jim ’81 and Walter ’77 Kizielewicz Scholarship was established by Jim Kizielewicz, Class of 1981. This Fund will provide scholarship support to students demonstrating financial need and preference will be given to students participating in the College's access and opportunity programs. Should the above preference not be met, preference will be given to students from the state of New York.
Originally, from Buffalo, New York, Jim Kizielewicz, Class of 1981 participated in the New York State Higher Education Opportunity Program which helped pave the way for his acceptance to Hamilton. He was a member of Delta Kappa Epsilon, the football team, and the track & field team. Immediately upon graduating, Jim, a Government major, began working at Kronos Incorporated alongside fellow Hamiltonian Aron Ain ’79. In his 40 years with the company, Jim held a variety of management roles and currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) - a new company born out of the 2020 merger of Kronos and Ultimate Software. Jim and his wife Carolyn reside in Lexington, Massachusetts, and are the proud parents of Jillian '12, Nicole, and Ryan.
Walter Kizielewicz, Class of 1977 also participated in the New York State Higher Education Opportunity Program. Walter, a Psychology Major, was a member of Delta Upsilon and was a four-year starter on the football team. He recently retired from General Mills where he worked for more than 33 years in various sales and sales leadership roles. Walter and his wife Sue live in Murrysville, Pennsylvania, and are the proud parents of Rachel, Cory, and Caitlin.
Jim and Walter are immensely grateful for their Hamilton education and the positive impact that the school has had on their lives. To give back for what they have gained as people and professionals, it is their intention to provide students in need with access to the same positive academic experiences that they enjoyed.
