The Harold C. Bohn Scholarship
The Harold C. Bohn Scholarship was established in 1983 by Harold C. Bohn, Class of 1926.
Harold Chester Bohn was born in New York City and entered Hamilton in 1922, studying English, philosophy, and German. He was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and participated in the Debate Club and choir. After graduating in 1926, he earned an M.A. in English from Harvard University and a doctorate from Columbia University Teachers’ College in 1954. He joined the faculty of Montclair State University in New Jersey in 1929 and eventually served as Professor Emeritus of English until his retirement in 1970. Harold died in 1982.
