The Hamilton College women's varsity 8 is ranked sixth in the latest US Rowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Division III Top 15 poll. The ranking is the program's highest ever.
The Continentals' varsity 8, which was ranked 13th in last week's poll, is coming off a win in the petite final of the 33rd Memorial Murphy Cup on March 28. Among the boats Hamilton beat in that race was the varsity 8 from Bates College, which was ranked second at the time.
Hamilton competes at Tufts University on Saturday, April 4, against the host Jumbos, Mount Holyoke College and Trinity College. Trinity is ranked first in this week's poll, Tufts is 11th and Mount Holyoke is second among the six teams in the "others receiving votes" category.
