Hamilton College women's swimmers Maggie Rosenbaum '14 (Alford, Mass./Monument Mountain Regional HS) and Megan Gibbons '12 (Clarks Summit, Pa./Abington Heights HS) have earned spots on the 2010-11 New England Small College Athletic Conference all-conference team.

The top three finishers in each event at the 2011 NESCAC women's swimming and diving championship received all-conference recognition. Hamilton finished in sixth place out of 11 teams at the three-day meet, which concluded on Feb. 20.

Rosenbaum made quite a first impression at the championship as she finished first in the 50-, 100- and 200-yard backstroke. She broke pool, meet and her own team record in the 50 back with a time of 26.24 seconds. She set a pool record and smashed her own program record in the 100 back with a time of 55.70 seconds.

Rosenbaum finished with a flourish in the 200 back on Sunday. Her time of 2:01.72 was good for a third pool record, and obliterated the team record by seven seconds. She met automatic qualifying times for the NCAA Division III championships in the 100 and 200 back.

Gibbons repeated the all-conference honors she earned last season in the 50 and 100 freestyle. She took second place -- just .01 seconds behind the winner -- in the 50 as she broke her own team record with a time of 23.85 seconds. She broke her own team record again in the 100 and finished third in the event with a time of 51.97 seconds. The time met a provisional cut for the national meet.
