Two Hamilton College women's squash players were honored by the New England Small College Athletic Conference on Feb. 26 when the organization announced its all-conference teams and other award winners.
Kelly Whipple '10 (Rye, N.Y./Covent of the Sacred Heart [Conn.]) was voted First Team all-conference by NESCAC head coaches. Whipple was also an all-conference selection in 2008. Krissy Rubin '10 (Boston, Mass./Milton Academy) was placed on the Second Team.
Whipple was Hamilton's No. 1 player all season. She posted a record of 7-10 before she missed the final four matches due to illness. She won two of four matches at the NESCAC championships.
Rubin finished with an overall record of 9-12. She was 8-9 at second position and 1-3 while filling in for Whipple at first position. She won four matches against NESCAC opponents this season.
Hamilton (12-10 overall) ended up in sixth place in the NESCAC championships, which were held at Trinity College from Jan. 30 to Feb. 1.
