The Hamilton College Continentals won all nine matches in three straight games and posted a 9-0 win over the William Smith College Herons at Hamilton’s Little Squash Center on Thursday night.
The Continentals (13-4 overall) won for the ninth time in 10 matches and are 16th in the latest College Squash Association rankings. The Herons (6-7) are ranked 26th.
Hillary Kolodner ’14, one of five Hamilton seniors who were making their final home appearance, won her eighth straight match. Her 3-0 win at the eighth position raised her season record to 12-4 and her career mark to 38-21. Hannah Coffin ’14 won her 13th match of the season, which is tied for the team lead, with a sweep at the fourth position.
Katherine Rogers ’14 rounded out Hamilton’s victorious seniors with a 3-0 win at the ninth position and moved to 5-4 on the season. Rachel Newman ’16 upped her season mark to 12-4 thanks to a sweep at the second position. Newman dropped just five points in the win.
Four Continentals will be represented at this weekend’s 2014 Division III Invitational at Bowdoin College.
