Lauren Farver '11 scored one goal and assisted on the other to lead Hamilton College to a 2-0 win against Hartwick College in a non-league game at Hartwick's Elmore Field on Oct. 30.

Farver last played on Oct. 8, when she was injured late in the second half of a 2-1 win against Rensselaer. Alex Rimmer '13 added her team-high 10th goal, and Liza Gergenti '14 made four saves for her third shutout and the team's sixth this year.

The teams played to a scoreless tie at the end of the first half, but Farver broke the ice in the 65th minute with her second goal this year. Her shot from the corner of the 18 made it inside the far post.

Rimmer tallied an insurance goal a little more than eight minutes later. Farver's cross from the far post found Rimmer on the goal line, where she headed the ball into the back of the net. Kelly Griffin made six saves for Hartwick (6-9-2 overall).

Hamilton (9-2-3) held an 18-8 shot advantage, and took five corner kicks to just two for the Hawks. The Continentals have allowed just 10 goals in 14 games.

Hamilton travels to Vassar College for a Liberty League tournament semifinal on Wednesday, Nov. 3. The Continentals are the third seed and Vassar is the No. 2 seed. Hamilton defeated the Brewers 3-1 on Oct. 9.
