Hamilton College's Amy Allen '10 (Bright's Grove, Ontario/Loomis Chaffee School [Conn.]) was selected a women's ice hockey co-player of the week by the New England Small College Athletic Conference on Jan. 11.
Allen scored three goals and assisted on another to lead Hamilton (3-4-2 overall) to a sweep of SUNY Cortland in a home-and-home series last week. She picked up the game-winning goals in both games.
Allen tallied two goals in a 3-2 win at Cortland on Friday. Her second goal broke a 2-2 tie with 3:25 left in the third period. She added a goal and an assist in a 4-3 victory at home on Saturday. Her goal late in the second period gave the Continentals a 4-2 advantage.
Allen is tied for ninth place in the conference with five goals, tied for second with three power-play goals and shares the lead with three game-winning goals. Hamilton travels to Rochester Institute of Technology for a non-conference game against the fourth-ranked Tigers on Tuesday, Jan. 12, at 7 p.m.
