Hamilton College placed fourth in the collegiate fours at the Head of the Charles Regatta, which was held on the Charles River in Boston, Mass., on Oct. 23 and 24.

On Saturday, racing conditions were a mix of clouds and sun with temperatures in the mid 50s, and strong 15 to 25 mph winds. Sunday's racing conditions were cloudy with occasional rain showers and negligible winds. Temperatures were in the mid 50s to low 60s.

Hamilton took fourth place out of 30 teams in the collegiate fours on Saturday, finishing  the 3-mile course in 21:22.801. Emory University captured first place with a time of 20:34.555.

On Sunday, Hamilton placed 2oth in the collegiate eights with a time of 17:56.258. Williams College finished first in 16:24.219. Runner-up Ithaca College was more than 35 seconds behind.

Catherine Florea '11 was coxswain for the collegiate four. The rest of the boat included Holly Bailey '12 at stroke, Allie Boyaris '12 in the bow seat, Becca Straw '14 in 3-seat and Helen Higgins '13 in 2-seat.

Kelsey Burke '13 was coxswain for the collegiate eight. The rest of the boat included Rachel Johnson '13 at stroke,  Shannon Finner '14 in the bow seat and the following rowers (seats seven through two in descending order): Katie Peterson '12, Pam Lewis '11, Alice Dannenberg '11, Allie Hoeltzel '14, Riley Smith '12 and Eban Lewis '11.

Hamilton competes at the Head of the Schuylkill in Philadelphia, Pa., on Saturday, Oct. 30.
