The Hamilton College women’s track & field team competed at the Middlebury Winter Classic Saturday. The Continentals placed fourth in the team standings with 58 points.

Vishwa Rasania '17 earned Hamilton’s highest finish, clearing 1.47 meters to tie for second place in the high jump. Rasania was also fourth in the long jump (4.60 meters). Abby Homer ’16 tied for sixth place (1.37 meters).

Mary Lundin ’19 placed third in the 800-meter run (2:30.02), Sara Lewis '16 was third in the pole vault (2.75 meters) and Emily Hull ’18 was third in the 20-pound weight throw (11.18 meters).

Hanna Jerome ’18 finished fourth in the 1,000-meter run (3:17.37) and Lilly Pieper '18 placed seventh (3:38.01).

Audrey Bartels ’19 finished fifth in the shot put with a mark of 9.10 meters.

Elizabeth Perry ‘18 and Caitlin Anthony ’18 both scored in the mile run, finishing sixth (5:48.29) and seventh (5:49.63), respectively.

In the 3,000-meter run, Alex Reading ’16 was seventh (11:41.43) and Grace Berg ’16 took eighth (12:01.48).

Hamilton finished third in the 1,600-meter relay, with the foursome of Anthony, Jerome, Lundin and Perry finishing in 4:38.27.

The Continentals return to action Saturday, hosting the annual Hamilton Invitational at Margaret Bundy Scott Field House.
