Hamilton's admission office has a new home. On Friday, June 1, at 11:30 a.m., the former Sigma Phi fraternity house, having undergone extensive renovation and expansion, will be dedicated in honor of Joy and Chet '70 Siuda. Later on Friday at 4:30 p.m., the Annex will be formally dedicated and named in honor of Patricia and Winton '28 Tolles.

Speaking at the Tolles Pavilion dedication will be U.S. Congressman Michael Arcuri, Utica businessman and Hamilton alumnus Eugene Romano '49, President Joan Hinde Stewart, Winton J. Tolles and Stuart Scott '61, chairman of Hamilton's board. Siuda House presenters include Scott and Stewart as well as other trustees and Monica Inzer, dean of admission and financial aid.

Chet Siuda, a Hamilton trustee since 1987, chaired the trustee committee on admission from 1994 to 2001. Siuda and his wife's commitment to admissions also includes the creation of an endowed scholarship to "create possibilities for students who otherwise couldn't attend Hamilton." The Office of Admission and Financial Aid moved last week from its offices in a house on College Hill Road into The Siuda House on Campus Road.

The Tolles Pavilion, located behind the Little Pub on campus, was built in 2000 and is home to a broad range of activities from luncheons and workshops, to concerts and dances. The facility is equipped with dressing rooms as well as a data projector and 16-foot screen for movies and multimedia presentations. It is particularly fitting that this space be named in honor of a former dean and mentor, who served as a trusted counselor to countless students, and his wife, who is remembered for her devotion to the College.

The dedication ceremonies are open to the public and are located at the building sites.
