Two Hamilton College athletes were honored by the Liberty League on Oct. 25 when the league announced its weekly award winners.

Alex Rimmer '13 (Rye, N.Y./Rye HS) was a co-offensive performer of the week selection for women's soccer, and Molly Brooks '14 (Florence, Mass./Northampton HS) was a co-rookie of the week pick for field hockey.

Rimmer received her second award this year. She scored three goals and assisted on another in three games last week. She ranks fourth in the league with nine goals and fifth with 20 points.

The women's soccer team is 8-2-3 overall and tied for third place in the league at 4-2-1. Hamilton is the No. 3 seed in the league tournament and will play a semifinal game at No. 2 seed Vassar College on Wednesday, Nov. 3, at 2:30 p.m.

Brooks received a league award for the first time. She posted an .850 save percentage and 1.00 goals against average in three games last week. She leads the league with four shutouts, and ranks second with a 1.22 goals against average.

The nationally ranked No. 15 field hockey team is 11-2 overall and finished second in the league at 6-1. Hamilton is the No. 2 seed in the league tournament, and will host No. 3 seed William Smith College for a semifinal game on Wednesday, Nov. 3, at 5 p.m.
