The Hamilton College Theatre Department announces the second week of the Spring Theater Production, Dark Play or Stories for Boys by Carlos Murillo. Performances will run Thursday, April 24 – Saturday, April 26, at 7:30 p.m.

All performances will take place in Minor Theater and this marks the final department production there. Starting in the fall 2014 semester, all productions will be staged in the new Theatre and Studio Arts Building.

Directed by Hamilton Professor of Theatre Craig Latrell, Dark Play or Stories for Boys is a tale of deception, fluid identities and cyberbullying that examines what happens when the real world and the virtual world collide. The play is based on an actual event that took place in Manchester, England in 2001, which also served as the inspiration for Nico Muhly’s opera Two Boys, performed at the Metropolitan Opera in 2013.

Dark Play or Stories for Boys features Hamilton students Charles Wilson ’16, Michael Gagnon ’16, Katherine Delesalle ’16, Andrew Gibeley ’16, Dyllon Young ’15, Kelsey Crane ’17 and Allison Schuette ’16.

Tickets for the performance are $5 for the general public and $3 for students. Seating is limited and reservations are strongly encouraged.  For more information or tickets call the Theatre Department office at 859-4057.
