On July 1, Stephen M. Pratt '85 assumed leadership of My Turn, Inc., a youth development agency based in Brockton, Mass. My Turn collaborates with employers, educational institutions, community organizations, and families to help youth ages 14 to 21 make the leap from high school to postsecondary education, work training, and successful employment.
Pratt joins My Turn during a time of rapid expansion. According to a recent press release, the agency has tripled its size and budget in order to operate programs in education and job preparedness for youth in 14 cities across Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.
In his new post, Pratt will draw on years of experience in the field of youth development. He has overseen two direct service organizations and a scholarship foundation, and co-founded six nonprofit organizations as either CEO or board member.
"Steve brings a storehouse of experience in youth development, innovative nonprofit management practices, and much enthusiasm to his new position. The Board looks forward to working with Steve and continuing My Turn's growth and success," said Chair of the Board Kevin Callanan.
