Dan Chambliss, the Eugene M. Tobin Distinguished Professor of Sociology, has recently presented several virtual talks on a range of topics from social science research methods to his book How College Works, co-authored with Chris Takacs ’05.
Among the places he has visited via Zoom are Marshall, Baylor, and the University of Denver, as well as Punahou School in Hawaii where he presented to parents.
“In-person would be nicer for sure, but the virtual platform allows easy access to even very distant audiences. I find it works surprisingly well,” Chambliss said.
