The law firm Spilman Thomas & Battle has announced that Sarah Patterson '08 has joined its Charleston office. Patterson will practice in consumer finance litigation and assist with research, pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation. She was most recently a legal research and writing teaching assistant at West Virginia University College of Law.
At Hamilton, Patterson majored in comparative literature and philosophy and was a member of Kappa Sigma Alpha. She worked as a writing tutor at the Nesbitt-Johnson Writing Center and studied abroad in Scotland her junior spring semester. After graduating magna cum laude, she went on to earn her J.D. from West Virginia University College of Law, where she was selected to the Order of the Coif.
