Charlotte Business Leader magazine recently named Rob Marcus '90 among its "Impact Law Leaders" for 2008. Marcus, a fifteen year veteran of Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP's litigation practice, specializes in intricate commercial and appellate litigation as well as alternative dispute resolution. Marcus has been admitted to the Middle, Eastern, and Western Unites States District Courts of North Carolina in addition to the Fourth and Eighth United States Court of Appeals. Moreover, Marcus was recently selected by his peers to be included in The Best Lawyers in America® 2009 (Woodward/White Inc.). Marcus graduated cum laude from Hamilton with undergraduate degrees in both History and Economics and went on to obtain his J.D. with honors from Duke University Law School in 1993. Marcus currently resides in North Carolina with his wife Natasha Rath Marcus '91 and two daughters and remains active in the Hamilton community as an Admissions volunteer.
