Former Assistant Secretary of State Anne Richard will give a lecture titled “Refugee Policy in the Obama and Trump Administrations” on Thursday, Sept. 26, at 7 p.m., in the Chapel. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Richard, the Sol M. Linowitz Visiting Professor of International Affairs at Hamilton, served as assistant secretary of state for population, refugees, and migration during the Obama administration. In addition to working in the State Department, she served at Peace Corps Headquarters and the U.S. Office of Management and Budget.
Richard has taught at Georgetown University and has been a visiting fellow at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perry World House. Shelly Callahan, the executive director of the Mohawk Valley Resource Center for Refugees, will be joining Richard for a discussion.
