Gary Lewis, a senior lecturer in the Department of Psychology at Royal Holloway, University of London, will present a lecture titled “Getting Personal with DNA: Introduction to Personality Traits and Twin Studies, Along with Some Myth Busting...” on Friday, March 3, at 7 p.m., in the Taylor Science Center’s Kennedy Auditorium. The lecture, sponsored by the Psychology Department, is free and open to the public.
Lewis’ research is broadly concerned with the study of human individual differences. He has specific interest in personality, social attitudes and social perception and uses a range of methods, including neuroimaging, quantitative genetics and behavioral experiments, to answer questions in these areas.
Lewis completed his Ph.D. at the University of Edinburgh. He has taught at the Universities of York and Stirling, and was a Sage Junior Fellow at the Sage Center for the Study of the Mind at the University of California, Santa Barbara.
