By the Way: Dispatches, Devotions, and Deliriums from the Camino de Santiago, an e-booklet by Visiting Associate Professor of Religious Studies S. Brent Plate, was recently published by Killing the Buddha Books. Plate describes the book as “a personal take on the wonders of walking, and the journey of life.”
By the Way is made up of Plate’s Instagram posts while he traveled the Camino de Santiago, a network of ancient pilgrimage routes leading to the tomb of St. James (Santiago) in northern Spain. The book also features an introductory essay on the “Pleasures and Perils of the Mid-Life Journey.”
