 Ann Owen

Ann Owen, the Henry Platt Bristol Professor of Economics, was interviewed by Marketplace Senior Reporter Nancy Marshall-Genzer for a segment titled “The plot thickens around the Fed's ‘dot plot’” last month.  The dot plot is a visual representation of where members of the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) project what interest rates should be in the future.

A former Federal Reserve Board of Governors economist, Owen noted that the dots in the dot plot were not grouped together. In fact, one FOMC member projected no raise in interest rates for the following year while another projected a two-point rise.
