Olivia Melodia '18

Olivia Melodia ’18 has been awarded a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship to Bulgaria. A philosophy major, she studied at Universidad del Salvador, Buenos Aires, Argentina, last spring where she was an English teaching assistant and intern at Bachillerato Popular Trans, in Buenos Aires.

At Hamilton she is music director for co-ed A Cappella group “The Hamiltones,”an Orientation leader for Exploration Adventure, and a barista at Café Opus. Melodia was a Spanish tutor for first- and second- graders at Clinton elementary school and a peer advocate for Hamilton College Sexual Assault Violence Education & Support (SAVES).

In 2016 Melodia was convention speaker at Women’s Rights National Park in Seneca Falls, NY, where she discussed the role of feminism among the millennial generation in honor of the first American Women’s Rights Convention of 1848.
