Students participating in Hamilton’s New York City Program recently made a visit to the prestigious Metropolitan Museum of Art, to get a taste of New York’s finest collection of art masterpieces from around the world.

Starting with Greek and Roman art, the tour took them on a trip through time.  Stops included ceramic art from the Islamic faith, European paintings from the 19th and early 20th century, woodwork from the tribes of Africa, paintings from the “New World,” and finally the complex workings of modern and contemporary art.

The tour gave students a great grasp of the sheer magnitude of art that this historic museum holds.
