The Hamilton College men’s track & field team wrapped up two days of competition at the 2014 New York State Collegiate Track Conference (NYSCTC) Outdoor Championships at St. John Fisher College on Saturday afternoon.

The Continentals placed 13th at the meet with 14 team points. Rensselaer captured the team title.

Five individuals and two relays scored points for Hamilton. Adam Pfander ’16 recorded the team’s highest finish, placing fifth in the men's 10,000-meter run with a time of 32:52.96.

Will Tifft ’14 took sixth place in the men's hammer throw with a mark of 47.04 meters. Matthew Peterfreund ’14 was seventh in the men's javelin throw with a distance of 50.64 meters and James Bryan '16 finished seventh in the men's 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:02.37. Dylan Berardelli ’16 placed eighth in the shot put with a toss of 13.21 meters.

Hamilton's 400- and 1,600-meter relays recorded eighth-place efforts with times of 44.16 seconds and 3:28.44, respectively.

Members of the track & field team will compete in the 2014 Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Outdoor Championships, which begin Thursday, May 15, at Rensselaer.
