Hamilton College competed in Cornell University's non-team scoring, multi-divisional Marc Deneault Memorial Invitational at Barton Hall on Feb. 19.
Jimmy Alexis '13 captured seventh place in the pole vault as he cleared 4.35 meters (14 feet, 3.25 inches). Alexis finished second in Division III. Joshua Orndorff '11 was ninth in the weight throw and 11th in the shot put. Orndorff recorded marks of 13.46 meters (44 feet, 2 inches) in the weight throw and 13.14 meters (43 feet, 1.5 inches) in the shot.
Scott Bickard '11 finished ninth in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 8:51.00. Bickard was fourth in Division III. Sam Reider '14 took 12th place in the 400-meter dash in 51.58 seconds, which was good for third in Division III. James Grebey '12 ended up 19th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:00.37. Grebey finished fourth in Division III.
Hamilton takes part in the 2011 New York State Collegiate Track Conference championships at St. Lawrence University on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 25 and 26.
