Jon Franzel '13 and James Oliver '15 led Hamilton College to a 7-2 non-conference win against Rochester Institute of Technology with victories in singles and doubles play at the Mendon Tennis Center in Pittsford, N.Y., on March 16.
Franzel didn't lose a game in his first flight singles match, and he and Oliver triumphed 9-7 at first flight doubles. Oliver was a 6-2, 6-4 winner at second flight singles.
Ian Antonoff '16 and Buck Reynolds '15 recorded an 8-4 victory at third doubles, and Reynolds won 6-4, 6-1 at fifth flight singles. Benjamin Stern '16 dropped just two games at fourth flight singles, and Kolya Kerz '13 outlasted his opponent, 7-5, 6-4 at sixth flight singles.
Hamilton's record this spring improved to 1-1 overall. The Continentals are off until Monday, March 25, when they take on Carthage College in Orlando. RIT dropped to 1-4.
