Ian Hildebrand '07 scored his third goal of the season to clinch a 3-1 non-conference victory for Hamilton College at SUNY Oswego on Sept. 18.
Hamilton improved to 3-1 overall with its second straight road win. Greg Rogan '07 gave the Continentals an early 1-0 advantage in the first minute with his second goal of the year. The lead grew to 2-0 just 20 minutes into the game on a goal by Zach Kelly '07. Jacob Shapiro '05 picked up his second assist of the year on the play.
Oswego cut the lead in half five minutes later, but the score remained 2-1 for the next 60 minutes until Hildebrand provided Hamilton some cushion with 4:27 left. Bob Barrowman '07 was credited with the assist. Anthony Tripicchio '06 made two saves for the Continentals and has a 0.75 goals against average in four games this year.
Hamilton enjoyed a 14-9 edge in shots, including 10-4 in the first half. The Continentals will host Skidmore College in their Liberty League opener at Love Field on Friday, Sept. 24 at 4 p.m.
