Peter Gerrity '09 scored two goals and assisted on two others to help lead Hamilton College to a 13-9 non-league win against Roger Williams University at the National Training Center Sports Medicine Institute in Clermont, Fla., on March 22.
Gerrity was one of seven Continentals that scored at least one goal. Christian Kunhardt '10 made 21 saves in goal for Hamilton (2-2 overall). The 13 goals are a season high for the Continentals.
After a scoreless first quarter, Roger Williams (1-4) tallied five goals in the second and led 5-4 at the break. Hamilton responded with five goals in the third quarter and grabbed a 9-7 advantage as the teams headed for the final period. Billy Haas '10 was a key to the comeback as he won nine of the last 11 faceoffs.
Justin Williams '10 chipped in two goals and one assist. Frasher Kempe '08, Marc Albu '08, Franke Holiber '10 and Andy Simon '09 notched two goals each. Simon recorded the first multiple-goal game of his career. Max Akuamoah-Boateng '09 added one goal and one assist. Austin Deyo '09, Alex Hodgens '09 and defenseman Ned Gilliss '08 were all credited with one assist.
The Continentals return home to face nationally ranked SUNY Geneseo for another non-league game on Wednesday, March 26, at 1 p.m.
